At NEF Consulting, Colette’s focus is on supporting local authorities as they respond to Climate Emergency declarations, and the development of places in a way that works for people and the environment.
Before joining NEF Consulting, Colette spent three years working for Wellington City Council in New Zealand in senior advisory and strategic roles. Prior to this she worked in various central government departments, including the Cabinet Office, HM Treasury and Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government. Her roles included economist, policy advisor and Private Secretary, all with a focus on local government, cities policy, devolution and local growth.
Colette is passionate about making the economy work for people and recognises that a place-based perspective is crucial to making this happen. She believes strongly in devolution of power and putting people at the heart of decision making.
Colette holds a BSc in Economics, Politics and International Studies from the University of Warwick.
