Lend Lease: stakeholder engagement and socio-economic impact measurement

NEF Consulting worked with Lend Lease, the property and infrastructure solutions providers, to develop a framework tool to assist with their socio-economic engagement and measurement throughout the development process. The framework identifies key issues of interest to stakeholders across the life span of a development from feasibility through planning, construction and asset management.

Under each theme, and at each point in the development process, the framework details the key stakeholders, the appropriate form of engagement, the desirable outcome and indicators for evidencing achievement of that outcome.

Lend Lease used the framework as the basis for their community engagement strategy which played a part in their achievement of BITC’s CommunityMark standard for their approach to community investment.

New Economics Foundation

NEF aims to create a new economy that works for people and within environmental limits. We are guided by three missions:

A new social settlement
To ensure people are paid well, have more time off to spend with their families, and have access to the things we all need for a decent life.

A Green New Deal
A plan for government-led investment to reduce the carbon we emit and boost nature, while creating a new generation of jobs.

The democratic economy
To devolve state power and transform ownership of the economy to give everyone an equal stake in the places where we live and work.
