Alex Chapman is a consultant with experience in qualitative and quantitative research, project evaluation and policy analysis.
Alex has worked with tools such as Multi-Criteria Analysis, Social Cost-Benefit Analysis, System Dynamics Models, and advanced Integrated Climate Models, applying them to issues spanning the triple bottom line (society, environment, economy).
Alex previously worked in South and Southeast Asia examining the impacts of climate change and evaluating adaptation projects and policies with stakeholders including the Governments of Bangladesh and Vietnam, local communities and researchers. Alex has experience in environmental governance and management in the UK including conducting local climate change impact assessments and working on nature-based flood risk management.
In addition to a PhD from the university of Southampton Alex has previous experience on DFID funded development projects and at the Asian Development Bank.
