Alex focuses on the economics of climate change, nature recovery and inequality. He supports NEF’s just transition and nature recovery programmes with quantitative research and policy evaluation. Previously he led analysis on the business cases and carbon impacts of major infrastructure proposals and advised the Future Generations Commissioner for Wales on carbon impact assessment of the Welsh Government budget. Following completion of his PhD at the University of Southampton, Alex held multiple research and consultancy positions through which he provided support to decision makers in governments and development banks on adaptation investment and climate risk assessment.

PROJECTS INCLUDE:

  • Policy evaluation and analysis and technical briefing notes in the areas of climate change adaptation, disaster risk management, and integrated flood risk management.
