Emmet Kiberd is a consultant with NEF consulting. An economist by training, he has experience in quantitative research, using data analysis to better inform public financial management. He has conducted qualitative research through interviews and industrial surveys, and developed his skills in synthesising research from varied sources.

Emmet previously worked at the Ministry of Finance in Namibia, first as an ODI Fellow and Economist, then as a consultant for the EU Institutional Capacity Development Programme within the Ministry. At the ministry he played a lead role in data collection and modelling for the Namibian government’s annual economic forecasts. He performed expenditure tracking analysis of key areas of public expenditure, assisted in communicating budgetary policy to the wider public, and helped to compile the country’s first two mid-year budgets.

Emmet was born and raised in Ireland and holds a BA and an MSc in Economics from Trinity College Dublin. He likes exploring his surroundings by bike and singing with choirs in beautiful old buildings.
