Sarah Arnold

New Economics Foundation


Previously an Economist with NEF Consulting, Sarah has a strong background in quantitative data analysis and econometrics, with specific expertise in exploring complex datasets to gain useful insights. She has worked on many of NEF Consulting’s more complex analytical projects. Clients include the NHS, PHE, the Department of Culture, Media and Sport, Shelter, WWF, and the Prince’s Trust. Her particular areas of interest are in health and the social determinants of health.

Sarah has now joined the New Economics Foundation as an Economist with a focus on health, social care and wellbeing, researching the role of community action in the health system. She continues to work on projects with NEF Consulting as an Associate.

Sarah is an accredited SROI practitioner, and expert in developing and putting into action social value frameworks.

Sarah enjoys working with individuals and organisations to improve their skills and enable them to understand concepts that will help them be truly effective.

Before joining NEF Consulting in 2014, Sarah worked as a campaigner on climate change issues and as Reporting Manager for a government energy efficiency initiative. She holds an MA in Economics from the University of Edinburgh.

Sarah’s favourite things to do include eating vegemite on toast and surfing (badly).
